The Contract Templates are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

You may use, copy, modify, adapt, and commercially use the Contract Templates, subject to the terms of CC BY 4.0.

When attribution is required

Attribution is required when you publish, redistribute, or otherwise make a Contract Template, or an adapted version of it, available to the public.

For example, attribution is required if you:

  • publish a Contract Template or an adapted version on a public website;
  • include it in a publicly available template library, repository, or collection;
  • redistribute or republish it as a template for others to use.

When attribution is required, please credit:

and include a link to the CC BY 4.0 license:

You should also indicate if you made changes to the original Template.

When attribution is not required

You do not need to include attribution merely because you use a Contract Template to prepare a contract for your own business or legal purposes.

For example, attribution is not required merely because you:

  • customize a Template for your company;
  • use a Template to prepare an agreement with a customer, vendor, employee, investor, contractor, or other counterparty;
  • negotiate, sign, or exchange a resulting agreement with a counterparty;
  • share a Template or resulting agreement internally within your organization or with your professional advisers.

In these cases, you do not need to include a February AI notice or link in the resulting agreement solely because it was based on one of our Contract Templates.

What this license covers

For purposes of this page, “Contract Templates” means the substantive contract template text published by February AI at:

unless a particular Template states otherwise.

The CC BY 4.0 license applies only to the Contract Templates.

It does not apply to the February AI or February names, logos, trademarks, branding, website design, software, source code, graphics, or other website content.
